Solution overview:

The fast development of the new energy industry has driven rapid growth of the battery production industry. In the battery manufacturing process,


  • The three-phase bridge rectifier is widely used as a charging device, especially in the battery formation process when the batteries being charged and discharged, generates big amount of harmonic pollution, great harm to the power grid.

  • Cause transformer temperature rise, resulting in reduced transformer capacity

  • Detrimental to the power equipment, result in the copper and iron loss increase, with additional temperature rise and motor efficiency reduction

  • Resonance between harmonic and capacitors in reactive power compensation devices, amplifies harmonic causes capacitor bank temperature rise

Details of the scheme:

APF is recommended to used for both power factor correction and harmonic filtering


APF to be installed close to the low voltage load.
User case: One batter manufacturing plant, installed APF system. Power factor was 0.855 on the 10KV side before installation, it was improved to 0.947 after installation. Overall energy bill saving >6%. ROI less than 14 months.
